Cypress Creek Hospital Partners with NAMI to Provide Peer-to-Peer Recovery Education Course
MEDIA ADVISORY: Cypress Creek Hospital, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, will offer a unique course to help individuals suffering from mental illness to establish and maintain wellness and recovery habits. For a 10-week period, participants will receive instruction from trained mentors and teachers who are successfully living with a mental illness. Topics will include surviving trauma, combating stigma and discrimination, building and maintaining positive relationships, developing coping strategies and stepping into empowerment and advocacy.
